LAMMA 2013 - A Retrospective View
It’s less than 10 days until this year’s LAMMA Show takes place at the NEC on January 15th and 16th. I’m once again looking forward to being a part of Farm Machinery Journal’s team of roving reporters and journalists.
My first trip to LAMMA was in 2013 when the event was held outdoors at Newark Showground for the last time before moving to the East of England Showground near Peterborough in 2014. LAMMA has been held in the warmth of the NEC since 2019.
Highlights from a bitterly cold day at Newark in 2013 included John Deere’s huge 616hp 9560R articulated tractor. Case IH were celebrating the 25th anniversary of its legendary Magnum range of tractors with a limited silver edition of its 340 model. Just 100 of these were manufactured.
Claas was celebrating its 100th anniversary at the show with a special edition Lexion 760 Terra-Trac combine whilst Caterpillar were displaying an agricultural version of its 143hp 924K wheeled loader.
