Happy New Year – 2024 Highlights
I would just like to take this opportunity to wish all of Farm Machinery Journal’s readers, subscribers, followers on social media and of The Tractor Man Blog the healthiest and happiest new year.
You can expect to see lots more exciting and exclusive content in FMJ and across all of our online platforms including our YouTube channel throughout the course of this year. However, let’s start 2025 by looking back at some highlights from 2024.
The year began with a trip to Norfolk to celebrate the 30th anniversary of Vervaet importer J. Riley Beet Harvesters (UK) Ltd at their bi-annual demonstration. Several of the machines in action that day will be featuring in forthcoming issues of Farm Machinery Journal.
There was also the opportunity to photograph one of the first Fendt 728 Vario tractors retailed in the UK to Flawborough Farms. Travels during the cereal harvest revealed Richard Laybourn’s superb 2008 Case IH 2388 Axial Flow. This was one of the very last of this iconic modern classic combine to be sold in the UK.
A major highlight of 2024 was the exclusive opportunity to see New Holland’s latest T5.120 Dual Command utility tractor alongside not one but two of its predecessors!
