Bridlington Young Farmers Ploughing Match 2024

There were plenty of eye catching and rare modern and classic tractors taking part in Bridlington Young Farmers annual ploughing match held on November 16^th. The match was held near Grindale in East Yorkshire and attracted over 60 entrants in a whole host of different classes.

Notable highlights included multiple British, European and World Ploughing Champion Simon Witty taking part in the World Style Conventional class with his customised New Holland T4050 and Kverneland two furrow plough. Tony Kent was competing in the Open Conventional Class with his rare two-wheel drive Same Jaguar 100 dating from 1984.

Local AGCO dealer Wilfred Scruton Ltd were demonstrating Valtra’s latest Q305 and seven furrow Ovlac XP-OL reversible that debuted at Tillage Live and appeared in the November issue of Farm Machinery Journal. Another lovely classic taking part was Graham Thompson’s recently refurbished Roadless Ploughmaster 75.
