Tillage Live Highlights

Back in September some of the very latest ploughs, drills and cultivation equipment were demonstrated at Tillage Live. The event was hosted this year by Leeds University’s Headley Hall Farm near Tadcaster in North Yorkshire and organised once again by the Agricultural Engineers Association.

Here’s several machines that came close to finding their way into my report on the event that appeared in the November issue of Farm Machinery Journal, but didn’t quite make it off the cutting room floor.

They include Horsch’s impressive Joker 12RT cultivator yoked to Claas’s new flagship 653hp Xerion 12.650, and Amazone’s new five furrow Teres 300V reversible plough featuring AutoAdapt that provides infinitely variable front furrow width adjustment.

Kuhn’s eight row Striger 100 strip tillage cultivator was being demonstrated with a John Deere 6R 250 fitted with Michelin Evobib tyres and an advanced PTG tyre pressure control system. AgXeed meanwhile were demonstrating their autonomous 156hp AgBot 5.115 T2 with a five furrow Kverneland LO plough.
