Yorkshire Air Ambulance Charity Christmas Tractor Run
On December 6th Neil Fenby and his family, farmers and contractors from Cloughton in North Yorkshire hosted and arranged a superb festive charity tractor run that raised more than £5000 for the Yorkshire Air Ambulance. Around sixty tractors, trucks and telehandlers took part.
The event was supported by Trotters Farm Shop who provided a hog roast and many other members of the local community who supplied auction prizes and volunteered to collect donations throughout each of the villages that the run passed through between Cloughton and Scarborough.
I was invited to photograph the run from the start to its conclusion and also had the pleasure judging the three best decorated tractors, an enjoyable but very difficult task, as they all looked fantastic!
In 1st place was Adrian Wright’s superb New Holland T6020 whilst Andrew Rookes finished second with the Case IH Puma 260 AFS he operates. James Whitaker rounded out the podium with his rare OnTop 800 series haulage tractor.
